Planning a getaway should feel exciting, not exhausting. Yet, many travelers find themselves bogged down in endless internet searches, conflicting resort reviews, and the anxiety of trying to make sure every detail is handled correctly.

When you partner with Journeys by Jacqy, I take the stress out of travel planning so you can focus on counting down the days to your trip. Whether you're dreaming of an all-inclusive beach resort, a multi-stop European adventure, or a relaxing cruise, my process is designed to be clear, collaborative, and entirely stress-free.

If you've recently submitted an inquiry or are thinking about booking, here is a transparent, step-by-step look at what to expect when planning your vacation with me!

Step 1: Submit Your Inquiry & Schedule Your Call

Your journey begins when you fill out one of my quick inquiry forms on my website. To ensure I craft an itinerary that fits your vision, every new client schedules a required 15-minute consultation call.

During this brief chat, we’ll discuss:

Your ideal travel dates, destination ideas, and travel style.
Who is traveling (families, couples, groups, or solo).
Your budget and non-negotiables.

Why the consultation call matters: I value your time and investment. This call allows me to verify that your trip goals align with realistic options and budget parameters before moving forward into the research phase.

Step 2: The Research & Planning Deposit

Once we determine that your trip is feasible and you are ready to proceed, we initiate the planning phase. At the end of our call, you will receive an invoice for my Research & Planning Deposit.

Here’s how our planning deposit works:

Dedicated Expertise: The non-refundable deposit covers the professional time and research required to curate your personalized options.
Up to 2 Tailored Quote Options: You will receive up to two (2) custom quote options designed specifically around your inquiry details.
Applied Toward Your Trip Balance: For standard trips, when you book a primary component (such as a resort, cruise, or vacation package) within 21 days (3 weeks) of receiving your initial quote, 100% of your deposit is applied directly toward your final trip balance! (For destination weddings, the timeframe is within 42 days / 6 weeks).
Multi-Destination Trips: For multi-stop itineraries, the deposit is allocated evenly across each distinct destination.

Step 3: Receive Your Custom Trip Proposal (Within 72 Hours)

Once your planning deposit is submitted, the magic happens behind the scenes. Within 72 hours (unless a different timeline is agreed upon during our call), you will receive a interactive Trip Proposal.

Your proposal will feature:

Vetted Recommendations: Carefully selected accommodations, cruise lines, or flight packages tailored to your budget and preferences.
Transparent Pricing & Inclusions: A clear breakdown of what’s included (e.g., transfers, resort credits, room categories, or tour excursions).
Easy Mobile & Desktop Access: Review your itinerary from your phone or laptop whenever it's convenient for you.

Step 4: Fine-Tuning & Revisions

Your feedback is an essential part of the process! We will review the proposal together to address any questions, make adjustments to room types, refine flight schedules, or tweak excursions until the itinerary is exactly how you want it.

Step 5: Booking & Managing Your Trip

Once you select your favorite option, I handle all the heavy lifting:

Securing Your Booking: I process your deposit or payment directly with trusted travel suppliers.
Payment Plans: Where applicable, I set up low-deposit options and manage key payment deadline reminders so you don't have to worry about missing a date.
Ongoing Concierge Support: From handling special requests with the resort to monitoring schedule updates, I manage your reservation right up until you return home.

Step 6: Bon Voyage!

Before you depart, you’ll receive a complete, easy-to-access travel document package containing all confirmation details, transfers, vouchers, and emergency contact instructions. All that’s left for you to do is pack your bags and enjoy your vacation!
