Belize Itinerary - Tours and Activities

Located in Central America, Belize is home to Mayan Ruins and huge barrier reefs including the famous Great Blue Hole. If you're big on water activities, this is the destination for you, so check out all there is to do below. If you're staying on one of the islands like Ambergris Cay, renting a golf cart to move around with is ideal.


Several of the tours below start in Belize City, these tours will be marked with "***". So if you are staying on one of the islands you will have to make your way to Belize City at your own cost via ferry or by air.

Cave Kayaking Tour***

Head to the Nohoch Che'en Caves Branch National Park and Archaeological Reserve for a memorable kayaking adventure. Hike along a short jungle trail then explore the cave network under the Maya Mountains as you paddle a stable, sit-on-top kayak. Pickup and drop-off from Belize City hotels or the cruise terminal.

Blue Hole Snorkeling

The Blue Hole, located in the center of Lighthouse Reef Atoll is a 1000 foot circular coral reef that drops over 400 feet into an incredible cavern. It is filled with stalactites and awe-inspiring natural formations. Half Moon Caye and the Aquarium/Eagle Ray are teaming with marine life and numerous varieties of colorful corals like sponges, fans and gorgonians.

Discover Scuba Diving

Discover Scuba Diving is a great way to discover if you like the diving experience. This course consist of a 3 part experience: an overview with an instructor (or watch a 25 min instructional video), followed by an in-water practice or confined water dive (meaning in pool or pool like conditions) and then you get to do an actual dive in 30-40ft of water.

Ambergris Caye Sunset Sail Tour

Watch the sun set into the Caribbean Sea as you sip rum punch aboard a 40’ sailboat, with a 3-hour sailing tour from Ambergris Caye. Enjoy a comfortable seat on deck, and listen to tropical tunes from the on-board sound system while the captain navigates the bright blue water. Sail south along the scenic edge of Ambergris Caye, watch for dolphins and sea turtles in the evening light, then spot the first tropical stars as you return to port.
